After losing their first game of the season to Pittsburgh last week, the Chiefs head to Oakland on a short week. Does Madden think the streak against the Raiders will continue?

For the second week in a row Madden falsely predicted the outcome for the Kansas City Chiefs. Now we will see if Madden can get one right against the Oakland Raiders on Thursday night.

Madden predicted a close game last week against the Steelers, with the Chiefs winning a close one 20-18. We all know that wasn’t quite how it panned out.

Madden projected that Alex Smith would throw for 281 yards and two touchdowns against the Steelers. He came up just short of those numbers 246 yards passing and 1 touchdown pass.

Kareem Hunt didn’t get the yardage on the ground that was projected, he didn’t get the carries either. He did however cross the 100 yards from scrimmage mark for the 6th straight week.

Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill didn’t live up to expectations either as both fell short of what was simulated. Madden has a hard time guessing that DeAnthony Thomas will do anything in these games.

As for Pittsburgh, Madden hit the nail on the head when it came to Ben Roethlisberger.  In simulation Ben threw for 254 yards with a touchdown pass and an interception thrown. Ben missed those numbers by two yards.

Madden felt like Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown would have mediocre games. Mediocre is the last thing we will call what they both were able to do. They combined for over 300 yards by themselves and two touchdowns.

Madden is now 2-4 as far as predicting how the Chiefs season would go so far. Let’s take a look at what things Madden says are in store for the Kansas City Chiefs in week seven.

Final Score Chiefs 20 Raiders 14

Madden picks the good guys to win again.

The simulation had the Kansas City Chiefs leading 20-0 going into the 4th Quarter. The Raiders scored 14 unanswered points and got the ball back with 1:26 remaining. The Chiefs defense held strong at the end not allowing a drive to develop.

Kudos to Madden for not suggesting another 2pt conversion was missed to determine the outcome.

Marshawn Lynch gathered up the majority of his receiving yards on a single screen play. The corners for the Chiefs did an excellent job keeping the Raiders receivers in check. Which is great being that the passing game for Oakland is their sweet spot.

Alex Smith was efficient once again. Kareem Hunt got his 100+ yards from scrimmage once again, and Travis Kelce found the endzone to grace us with his dance skills.

We shall see if Madden can get on track with its projections this week. Looks as though it will be tough game once again between two bitter rivals.

The Raiders and Chiefs have always been a good game to watch. No matter what the score is, you can bet on plenty of attitude, aggressiveness, and machismo.

The Kansas City Chiefs were undefeated in the division last year. Hopefully they can keep the streak going here and for the rest of the season.

*Special note. Patrick Mahomes saw game action in this one. He went 1/1 with 6 yards passing.
