K-State has to rebound quickly as they welcome ninth ranked Oklahoma for a 3pm kickoff at Bill Snyder Family Stadium. It looks to be a national game as well on Fox.  Oklahoma comes in with the number one ranked offense in terms of yards per play in the Big12.

More from KC Kingdom

With four straight sub-par performances, I believe we are in a situation where maybe sub-par is actually par. With Baker Mayfield and his 17 touchdowns to one interception coming to town, I think there is reason to panic.

The defense has been the only reason the Wildcats are keeping games and close. If they do more breaking instead of bending this game could be an issue.

Suddenly, bowl eligibility is concern for K-State fans. I don’t think anybody expects a win against OU, but it’s time to put together some good performances and give hope to fans that the bowl streak won’t end this year.

Finally, I expect to see changes in how K-State manages the game. It’s time to stop putting the offense so far behind the eight ball. If they can’t do that, I expect to see changes at the offensive coordinator position. The end of the first Bill Snyder era came because he refused to change coaches when they needed to be changed. We may be watching the end of the second era now.
