K-State Football: Report Card vs Baylor Bears
It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but a win is a win.
The 3-1 Kansas State Wildcats will take their show on the road and face the 2-2 Texas Longhorns next weekend. The Longhorns are coming off a sluggish road victory at Iowa State. Texas does have a few extra days off after playing a Thursday night game.

The Baylor game would answer lots of questions for Kansas State fans. It answered some, but asked quite a bit more. K-State clearly outclasses the bottom of the Big12, but how will they fare against teams like the Longhorns, who don’t appear to be bad, but are also clearly not great?
Jesse Ertz may become a story after Alex Delton entered the game after what appears to be a minor injury. That’s the type of story that can change the entire direction of the season.
I also want to see how this coaching staff responds to too many mistakes for the second straight game that I think most fans wanted to see get cleaned up over a bye week. Bill Snyder has a long track record of his team’s getting much better throughout the season and I think it’s time for that to start taking over.

Was this a good game for the Kansas State Wildcats? No, there were certainly things that could have gone better, but at the end of the day, K-State football held on and winning games is all that matters for this team at this moment.
