It was a game that ended up being much closer than it needed to be, but a win is a win!

When the Eagles recovered their onside kick, the worst of thoughts started playing in my mind. “Oh no… Are the Chiefs going to Chief it here?” It would be quite the Kansas City way to lose, after all.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Fortunately, Wentz’s final throw sailed out of the back of the end zone and the KC Chiefs held on for the W. They’re now 2-0 on the season and have beaten two really good football teams.

Andy Reid took down his former team and wiped the smug look off of Doug Pederson‘s face, who was returning to Arrowhead for the first time since taking the Eagles head coaching position. Reid didn’t skip a beat against his former employer and his team made him proud on Sunday.

Next up for the Kansas City Chiefs are the Los Angeles Chargers, who always find ways to lose narrow games. The Chiefs have swept the Chargers the last three seasons and will be looking to start things off with a bang in their first trip to Los Angeles in the regular season since 1993 when the Raiders were still in LA.

The Chargers are 0-2, already in the basement of the best division in football. They’ll be looking to get their first win of the year in front of their two fans in the StubHub Center next weekend.

With two games in the books, we can safely say that the Kansas City Chiefs are one of the best teams in the league, and it’s not even close.
