Kansas City sports fans are passionate about their teams and they’re also great at rooting for who they see as bad guys. While some of the guys aren’t necessarily bad guys, they just always had KC’s number.

Ask any Kansas City Chiefs fan who they hate the most and a large majority of them will probably say Lin Elliott. Elliott’s three missed field goals cost the Chiefs a chance to host a team in the AFC Championship Game in the 1995 season. It was a dark day for many Chiefs fans.

More from KC Kingdom

John Elway, Madison Bumgarner, and Peyton Manning are hated by KC natives because they experienced a large amount of success against Kansas City. Elway and Manning did so on the football field while Bumgarner accomplished the near-impossible during the 2014 World Series.

Eric Winston isn’t well-thought of in Kansas City due to running his mouth during a rough time for the Chiefs. He was very upset with the fan base and certainly let his feelings show.

Brett Lawrie and Jose Bautista messed with the Kansas City Royals when the fan base was at its peak. Those two will be “Forever Royally Hated” by the folks of Kansas City.

Elvis Grbac became disliked here because he wasn’t Rich Gannon. In other words, he didn’t lead the Chiefs to a Super Bowl. That decision still stings.

Philip Rivers is listed here because he’s a whiny baby. Enough said.
