A. . OFF. Sporting KC. THE OFFENSE
It was an effective and efficient night for the Sporting KC offense. The SKC attackers scored three goals on six shots on goal. That is an excellent conversion ratio. Sporting also won the time of possession, largely on the back of an efficient passing game. However, it is the goals that really carry this as the offense finally came to life.
B. . DEF. Sporting KC. THE DEFENSE
It will be overlooked due to the performance of the offense, but don’t sleep on what the SKC defense is doing right now. Sporting allowed only one goal, and just three shots on goal in this match. That goal allowed…just the second one all year. Tim Melia in goal, and his defensive supporters are playing some phenomenal soccer right now.
