This season hasn’t been pretty so far, but we’re only three games into the season. The KC Royals still have plenty of time to turn things around, but an early winning streak would have been nice for the boys in blue.

It’s been a rough few games for Kansas City, but there are still 159 games left to be played. If the Royals can go down to Houston and take two out of three from the Astros, that’d put the season right back on track.

More from KC Kingdom

It’ll be tough though, as the Astros are undefeated at the moment and are an exciting young team. The Royals experienced that excitement two seasons ago in the playoffs and were the team who knocked the Astros out of the ALDS.

The Astros were up two games to one during Game 4, but the Royals rallied and forced a Game 5 in Kansas City. The Royals would then win the series at Kauffman Stadium in front of their home crowd.

Astros fans surely remember that. They also probably are bitter about the Chiefs beating up on the Texans in the Wild Card Game a few years ago and are tired of being owned by the city of Kansas City. They’d love nothing more than to see their Astros keep kicking the Royals while they’re down.

It’ll be an interesting series and hopefully the KC Royals can gain some momentum in this series. If they get swept again, it’ll be hard to talk these fans down.
