ROYALS BOLD PREDICTIONS – CUTHBERT GETS TRADED AT THE DEADLINE

With the Royals sitting pretty at the deadline, they need to add some more weapons to their team if they want to push for another World Series title. With the hottest free agents on “hug watch”, the Royals push all of their chips to the center of the table and go all in for one last hurrah.

That includes trading Cheslor Cuthbert to a team not in the running for a playoff berth.

The Royals don’t really need Cuthbert, as they have Moustakas at third base (and should they indeed trade Cuthbert, could re-sign Moose to an extension rather than Hosmer) and have Hunter Dozier waiting in the wings.

Cuthbert will surely land a big time name from any team, as he’s an experienced major leaguer and has shown that he can be quite the slugger. He bashed 12 home runs for the Royals last season when filling in for an injured Mike Moustakas at third base.

This is a bold prediction that I wouldn’t necessarily WANT to see happen, but if it does happen, it means that the Royals are in serious running for another World Series trophy.
