The “What Ifs” of 2016

The Season Verdict

All in all the Chiefs’ season was a successful one. Even with its setbacks and ultimate end in the AFC Divisional Round, the Chiefs’ season ended in a 12-4 record and an AFC West title.

That is pretty good, though there are some things that could have helped the Chiefs to even better results. Whether good or bad some changes to the season could have resulted in a even sweeter outcome to the season.

Winning the AFC West was more impressive this year than in most seasons because it was without a doubt the best division in the NFL. Three teams finished with winning records and the Chargers weren’t as bad as their record would indicate.

It’ll be difficult to repeat as AFC West champions next season, especially with the Raiders now having a taste at the postseason and the Broncos out for blood after falling to third in the West.
