MOST DISAPPOINTING CHIEFS IN 2016 – NUMBER 6: JAMAAL CHARLES

This one might seem a little unfair to some people, but I’m putting him on here anyway. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jamaal Charles and he’ll go down as the best running back in Kansas City Chiefs history.

More from KC Kingdom

The last two seasons, however, have been total busts for the two-time All-Pro running back.

Charles tore his ACL for the second time in week five of the 2015 season and the Chiefs fared just fine without him. When 2016 inched closer, there was hope that Charles would be able to make an impact for this team.

Instead, Charles only appeared in three games, before re-injuring himself and being placed on injured reserve. He did manage to find the end zone once, against who else but the Raiders who Charles has owned during his long career.

Charles’ 2016 stats were 12 carries for 40 yards and a touchdown. Not exactly what Chiefs Kingdom was expecting when the running back was taken off the injury list before week four.

While it hurts to think about this, the KC Chiefs are likely going to part ways with Jamaal Charles this offseason and he very well could be wearing another team’s jersey in 2017.
