. . . PLAYOFF PICTURE. A+++++

AFC WEST CHAMPIONS BABY!!!!

For the first time since 2010, the Kansas City Chiefs are the division champions and it feels pretty dang good. They swept the division this year and made it look easy.

More from Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City had to win on Sunday and hope that the Raiders choked against the Broncos. Both of those things happened and now the Chiefs have won the division title and taken it from the Broncos for the first time in six years.

The Chiefs will also get the number two-seed in the playoffs, which gives them a first-round bye. Had they gotten the five-seed, they’d likely have spent the entire playoffs on the road and would have had to travel to Houston next week.

Instead, the Chiefs will host the higher seed to come out of the Wild Card weekend (I’m predicting the Steelers, but if they lose, it’ll be the winner of the Houston/Oakland game) and I can’t wait to see a rocking Arrowhead Stadium in the divisional round of the postseason.

Let’s get to work, Chiefs Kingdom. This has been a special season.
