Missouri Tigers news consists of the football team hiring their new defensive line coach and also about the men’s basketball team continuing to struggle.

It’s been a rough year for Missouri Tigers fans, but things can only get better, right? Missouri announced on Friday that they’ve hired Brick Haley as the newest defensive line coach for the Tigers.

Haley will be replacing former defensive line coach Jackie Shipp, who had spent one season in Columbia. Haley comes from the University of Texas, where he just spent a season as defensive line coach. Before that, he spent the 2009-2014 season as LSU’s d-line coach, so the guy clearly has experience.

The Tigers will need all the help they can get after now two less than stellar seasons for the football program.

Speaking of rough times, the men’s basketball team is continuing to struggle under head coach Kim Anderson. The fans aren’t getting pumped up for basketball season, as the attendance seems to be lower and lower each and every week.

Mizzou fell to Arizona on Saturday by a score of 79-60. The team is 5-4 on the year and has suffered some tough losses at this point of the year.

The good news about this last game is that the Tigers did compete for most of it despite what the score would indicate. There’s potential surrounding this team, they just need to grow and figure it out and then they could be a decent team.

Here’s what’s trending around the web in Missouri Tigers news.
