KC Chiefs Vs Denver Broncos: Rating the Match-Ups
Linebackers
Dee Ford isn’t playing this weekend and Justin Houston isn’t back to his normal self, so there’s pretty much no way this one goes in favor of the Chiefs.
Denver has Von Miller on their team. As much as KC Chiefs fans hate that guy, Miller is an all-star linebacker. He won MVP in the Super Bowl for a reason, and that’s because he’s a stud on the field.

The Chiefs signed right tackle Mitchell Schwartz simply because the guy was one of the few linemen in the league to be able to guard Miller. Hopefully he can continue that on Sunday.
Like I said, no Ford and a still recovering Houston means that Kansas City’s linebackers ain’t what they used to be.
Advantage: Denver
Secondary
Marcus Peters should be back this week, which will make all of the difference for Kansas City’s defense. The Chiefs’ secondary looked helpless last weekend against Tampa Bay, so it’d be nice to see Peters step in there and help the team get back to form.
Denver, however, has Aqib Talib, Chris Harris, and T.J. Ward, all terrific secondary players. Smith doesn’t tend to test out secondaries too much, and that’d be best to stick to that approach this weekend in the Mile High city.
