Special Teams

Cairo Santos accounted for all but six of the Chiefs’ points last week (they scored 19 total – you do the math) and is getting better and better as the weeks go on.

More from KC Kingdom

Graham Gano is another prominent kicker in the NFL, but he’s had a bit of a “down” year, at least for him. He missed the game winner against the Broncos in the season opener, which used to be a sure thing for Gano.

Santos has connected for 18 total field goals and Gano has 14. To be fair though, Santos has attempted more field goals, missing three and Gano has only missed four. So, it’s a pretty close battle.

The Chiefs have yet to have a return touchdown, but they’ve come close. Tyreek Hill is due to finally return a punt or kickoff all the way for six.

Again, I don’t really closely watch other teams’ special teams, so I’m going with what I know here. It’s awfully close though.
