Not So Bold Predictions

It goes without saying that this KU basketball team will win their 13th consecutive Big 12 regular season championship. On paper, before any games have been played, they are clearly the best team.

Also, it is not going out on much of a limb to say the Kansas Jayhawks will be a one or a two seed come March.

Barring something horrible, this team should be a top five ranked team for most of the season.

It will be interesting to see how the Jayhawks handle the crazy early-season travel schedule against top-notch competition.

The Jayhawks also have games scheduled against Stanford, Davidson, Nebraska, and UNLV, so their non-conference should be plenty challenging.

If Self can keep his team focused and his freshmen develop as the season progresses, it won’t be unreasonable to dream about another national championship!

This KU basketball team could be one of the best ever under Bill Self. The Jayhawks look poised to challenge for not only the Big 12 title, but also for another national championship.

Starting the season against two nationally ranked historical powerhouse programs like Indiana and Duke should get everyone amped up quickly!
