Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly Vs New Orleans Saints
Bad: Secondary
Kansas City had a tough task this week in containing future Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees. They didn’t do a great job with that, as Brees completed 37 of 48 pass attempts for 359 yards and three touchdowns. He was picked off once and sacked once as well.

Brees didn’t throw at Marcus Peters much, but he had fun picking on the other side of the field whether it be Steven Nelson or D.J. White.
While the secondary and the defense in general allowed Brees to have a big day, the secondary didn’t allow any huge plays. That was good to see, as Brees is known for slinging the ball down the field and he didn’t do a whole lot of that in this one.
He was also one of the few quarterbacks to not go after Peters much. Maybe he saw what the other quarterbacks had to deal with when doing so.
The secondary has had up and down games all season and they had a tough task in covering Brees this week. Next week they’ll see Andrew Luck and after that it’ll be Blake Bortles and Cam Newton.
So yeah… It doesn’t get any easier, but Brees was probably the toughest quarterback they’ll see this season.
