Third Down: Andy Reid’s Playcalling Sucks!

Another popular scapegoat in a Kansas City Chiefs loss is the job done by Head Coach Andy Reid.  Of course there are the various play clock narratives, and that he throws too many short passes.  Many fans can’t understand why he doesn’t just throw the ball deep every play…it works on Madden.

Look, Andy Reid has his shortcomings when it comes to calling a gameplan.  However, to look past the mistakes on the field is just ridiculous.  Four sacks, three fumbles, multiple dropped passes, and lord knows how many penalties.  That’s why the Chiefs lost.  It really had nothing to do with the gameplan.  There were multiple big plays that were lost because of just dumb actions by the players on the field.

"Alex played like crap. The 3 runs in the 2nd half was a joke. Another typical Andy Reid year I’m afraid!!"

By “another typical Andy Reid year”, one would have to assume that’s 10+ wins and a trip to the postseason, right?  I mean, that is actually the result Andy Reid typically achieves.  Yet for some reason, I can’t help but feel that’s not what Gary is going for.  Surely he looked up the facts before posting something like that, right?
