After it was 21-3 at the half, I was pretty bummed. The Chiefs looked out of the game before the game was even over with, and I found myself wondering if the Chiefs could at least put up some points.
Slowly, but surely, Kansas City came back and made it 27-20 in the fourth quarter. They then went on to tie the game in the last two minutes of the game.
In overtime, the Chiefs won the toss, and Alex Smith led the team down the field and then took the football into the end zone himself for the win. Smith was pretty dang fired up after that win, and it’s easy to see why.
That was without a doubt, the best game of Alex Smith’s career (at least in Kansas City). He looked poised, confident, and really kicked butt under center for the Chiefs. The guy is my new hero. *Cue Enrique Iglesias song*

As fun as that game was, we shouldn’t overlook the first half. That was some bad football, but fortunately the KC Chiefs took a page out of Taylor Swift’s playbook and played, played, played, played, and then shook it off.
This was a hell of a way to start the 2016 season and I can’t WAIT to see what the rest of the regular season has in store for our Kansas City Chiefs.
