This was a tough loss, but the schedule becomes much lighter for K-State football.

Kansas State gets the week off next weekend, but the following week will have their home opener and will welcome in Florida Atlantic. While Florida Atlantic shouldn’t be as difficult as Stanford was, the K-State offense needs to figure it out because this is a game that they really COULD HAVE won.

It was frustrating because the defense played so well in the second half, but the offense couldn’t get anything done until it was too late. That won’t work down the stretch.

This game against the Cardinal didn’t go as badly as I had thought it might. I was terrified that McCaffrey was going to have a field day and rush for over 200 yards and have five or more touchdowns. So, yeah… The KSU defense did their part in this one.

The Wildcats should take the bye week and learn their identity. We didn’t see a lot of action from the rushing attack or from the wide receivers (but that’s because the quarterbacks didn’t throw a whole lot) and we’ve already gone over the quarterback play.

Fingers crossed that the game against Florida Atlantic ends with a K-State victory!
