2016 Fantasy Football Defenses: Number Seven – Los Angeles Rams

The Los Angeles Rams underwent a relocation during the off-season moving from St. Louis to Los Angeles. This doesn’t change the team at all, but I wanted to remind you of the name change.

Anyway, the Rams have a good defense. Lead by defensive tackle, Aaron Donald. Donald got 11 sacks last season while adding a fumble recovery and 43 tackles. The 25-year-old is the real deal for the Rams.

More from KC Kingdom

He adds pressure to opposing quarterbacks making the passer throw the ball before they want to. The Rams forced 13 interceptions (one for a touchdown), 20 forced fumbles and 41 sacks last season.

The Jeff Fisher lead team scored a few points on defense for fantasy teams as well. The team scored double-digit fantasy points five times. The largest total came against the Cleveland Browns.

The Rams let the Browns have it that day. The Browns fumbled the ball four times (one going for a touchdown). The Rams beat the Brown 24 to 6.

The Los Angeles Rams have a difficult schedule. This includes six bad, two good and eight decent match-ups. The only two good match-ups come against the San Francisco Giants in weeks one and 16.

This might not look good on paper, but the Los Angeles Rams have a talented defense led by a stud pass rusher in Donald. The team will be consistent if you are willing to put them in the lineup.
