KU Football: Top Ten Quarterbacks All-Time
Best quarterbacks in Kansas football history: 5. Mike Norseth
Mike Norseth was another KU quarterback who got drafted in the NFL. He played for Kansas in 1984 and 1985 and threw for 4,677 yards, 24 touchdowns, and 17 interceptions.
Norseth threw for just shy of 3,000 yards during that 1985 season, one in which the Jayhawks went 6-6, a better year for the school when it comes to football.
Norseth was a seventh round draft pick by the Cleveland Browns in 1986 NFL Draft, but only spent one year with the team. He didn’t make much of an impact, but he’s one of the few Kansas quarterbacks to ever make it into the NFL, which is an accomplishment in itself.
Despite not leading KU to a winning record during his tenure, Mike Norseth is one of the best quarterbacks to ever take snaps in a Jayhawks uniform.
He makes this list at number five.
