KC Royals News: Not Quite The Expected Start

facebooktwitterreddit

KC Royals news focuses on how the boys in blue haven’t exactly started the season off how fans had expected them to.

While the Kansas City Royals warmed the hearts of everyone in Kansas City last season, this season has been off to a rocky start, to say the least.

The team has been struggling since two weeks ago when they were swept by the Los Angeles Angels and then went on to lose series to the Mariners, Nationals, Indians, and Yankees. It hasn’t been a fun few weeks for the KC Royals, but this is pretty much the same team we saw a year ago.

A lot of the problems with the team has stemmed from the cold offense and the horrendous starting pitching. Kris Medlen and Chris Young both were just sent to the DL, which could explain their poor performances early on in the season.

The offense put up runs against the Yankees, but pitching made sure those runs didn’t matter in the end.

Despite a few frustrating weeks of baseball, Royals fans shouldn’t give up this early on. Remember – We suffered for 29 years of bad baseball and this is still a team that could contend in 2016.

The White Sox getting off to a red hot start isn’t ideal, but they’ll hit their slump eventually, and when they do, the Royals will need to play their best baseball and gain some games on the south side Chicago team.

While it hasn’t been the most fun early on this season, the Kansas City Royals will eventually figure it out and get back on track. This team is too good to fall into irrelevancy this early on in the season.

Really, if the Chicago White Sox weren’t off to the start that they were, people wouldn’t be panicking nearly as much. It’s a long season, and KC Royals fans just need to sit back and wait for the hot streaks to come back. It shouldn’t be long now.
