KC Royals: Jorge Bonifacio And Hunter Dozier Are Raking

Omaha Storm Chasers: 3-2
The Omaha Storm Chasers were the only affiliate that had a winning record this past week as they went 3-2.
Miguel Almonte finally got a win this past week as he went 5.2 innings and gave up five hits and three walks. He also allowed two earned runs and struck out eight. He’s now got an ERA of 3.45 and 21 strikeouts across 15.2 innings of work.
Jonathan Dziedzic has pitched 22 innings on the year and has a 1.63 ERA and 24 strikeouts. He’s 1-1 on the year and this past week he went five innings and gave up three earned runs. He struck out five but gave up six hits and four walks.
Brooks Pounder only lasted two innings this past week and gave up two runs, four hits, and a walk while striking out two. He’s now got a 2.25 ERA on the year in 20 innings of work.
The Storm Chasers got a lot of offensive help this past week with Jorge Bonifacio, Cheslor Cuthbert, Brett Eibner, and Whit Merrifield leading the charge.
Merrifield and Eibner each had eight hits while Eibner had two home runs and four RBIs. Merrifield stole three more bases and is now a perfect 16-16 in stolen base attempts. Eibner is batting .306 on the season after a slow start and Merrifield is at .291.

Cheslor Cuthbert is batting .325 on the year and has five home runs. He’s also only struck out only ten times this season.
This past week he had nine hits that including two home runs and seven RBIs.
Jorge Bonifacio is showing some real power this season and he’s hitting for average as well. This year he has four home runs and a batting average of .333. He’s also struck out a total of 21 times, which isn’t great.
This past week he had ten hits and seven RBIs. One of those hits was a home run.
