KC Chiefs: Ten Best Seventh Round Draft Picks of All-Time
It’s interesting that the Kansas City Chiefs have actually had more success in the seventh round than they have in the sixth round.
Some might say that it’s unfair to have some of the old-school players on here, as them being drafted in the seventh round in the 60s would make them a second-round pick by today’s standards. Still, though, they’re considered seventh-round draft picks, and that’s reason enough.

The Chiefs saw a good amount of success with seventh-rounders in the 60s, snatching up both Bobby Bell and Fred Arbanas during that time. Both guys contributed to the team’s Super Bowl title in the 1969 season.
Guys like Kevin Ross and Dave Szott were also nice picks, as they both spent 11 years suiting up for the KC Chiefs.
While Eric Warfield wasn’t exactly a role model off the field, he spent eight years manning the secondary in Kansas City, which is impressive for a seventh-rounder.
Ryan Succop more than met the expectations as the final pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.
The rest of the guys might not be huge names, but they did enough to make an impact as seventh-rounders, something that is extremely difficult for players in this day and age of the National Football League.

The main thing to take out of this is that talent can come in any round. The KC Chiefs might just be looking to add depth in the later rounds of the NFL Draft, but you never know when the next superstar is going to join the organization.
