KC Royals news consists of how the All-Star Game voting has begun and how boys in blue won yet another series this past weekend.

It’s that time of year again, ladies and gentlemen! It’s All-Star Game voting time in Major League Baseball, and that means it’s time to dig out those Vote Omar bumper stickers and get to voting for KC Royals to make it into the big game this summer.

We all probably remember how Royals fans dominated the All-Star Game voting last season. There was one point where there were going to be eight Kansas City starters for the American League team, but eventually it turned into four, with seven total Royals making it to Cincinnati.

The All-Star Game is a huge honor for MLB players and Royals fans should make sure they vote every day to ensure that their favorite KC Royals get to play a part in San Diego this summer. Don’t forget that Ned Yost is managing the American League team again this year!

In other news, the Royals have now won their past two series. They took two out of three games from both the Tigers and from the Orioles.

The Friday night match up saw the boys in blue winning a 4-2 game and Chris Young earning his first win of the year. Saturday’s game did not go quite as well, as Kris Medlen was yanked after only 4.2 innings. He had given up nine hits and seven runs during that time. The Royals lost 8-3 in that game.

Sunday, however, Yordano Ventura struggled in the first inning, but calmed down and only allowed one run on the day. Ventura only allowed four hits as well, showing that he could slowly be turning back into that potential future ace for the club.

The Royals dominated in the seventh inning, plating four runs to go with the two they already had, and winning their 12th game of the year by a score of 6-1.

It was a great weekend for the Kansas City Royals, but now they hit the road again to face the Angels and the Mariners. Will they be able to keep the winning going?

Hopefully, Royals fans will get out and vote again so that the KC Royals have as much representation in the 2016 All-Star Game as possible. This year, as of now anyway, it wouldn’t be nearly as crazy for Omar Infante to be at the top of the list for second basemen, but let’s get those votes in, Royals fans!

The other news coming from the weekend was about the Royals continuing to win series. They have two more on the road this week, in Anaheim and in Seattle. Let’s hope the Royals can bring back two series wins this week!
