KC Chiefs News: Jeremy Maclin and Mock Drafts

facebooktwitterreddit

KC Chiefs news surrounds wide receiver Jeremy Maclin and all of the different mock drafts floating around before the 2016 NFL Draft takes place.

When the Kansas City Chiefs landed Jeremy Maclin in free agency last offseason, fans were psyched. Finally, this team would have a true number one wide receiver threat for Alex Smith to throw to.

The presence of Maclin showed throughout the season, as he wound up having 87 receptions for 1,088 yards and eight touchdowns in his inaugural season in Kansas City.

While it’s great having Maclin in town, the other two main receivers on the roster aren’t true number two guys just yet. Maclin is trying to change that though, as he invited Chris Conley and Albert Wilson to work out with him in Kansas City.

This shows that Maclin truly is a leader for the Chiefs and that he wants his teammates to be great.

On the other side of Chiefs news is the draft, in particular all of the mock drafts out there right now. The Chiefs have been linked with taking anyone from a cornerback to a linebacker, so it’ll be interesting to see who the team does select in the first round.

The past two years have seen the KC Chiefs go with a defensive player, and that wouldn’t be surprising in the least bit if they decided to do the same thing again in 2016. That’s Kansas City protocol after all.
