Today’s Kansas City Royals news mainly focuses on the poor play of Chris Young in his third loss of the season, but also includes Eric Hosmer and more.

The Kansas City Royals received backlash for naming Chris Young to the starting rotation before even playing their first game.

This move has continued to cause problems for the Kansas City Royals.

In Young’s latest loss, he surrendered a three run shot off Josh Reddick in the bottom of the first.

After pitching four innings and some change, Young had allowed four runs and eight hits.

The Kansas City Royals would go on to lose to the Oakland Athletics 5-3.

A’s pitcher, and member of the 2015 Kansas City Royals World Series Team, Ryan Madson got the save in their latest win.

Madson’s save came after an A’s loss to the Kansas City Royals in which Madson received his World Series ring from 2015.

In this game, Edinson Volquez got his third win of the season, Wade Davis got his fifth save of the season, and Eric Hosmer hit the go ahead solo shot.

As a result, the Kansas City Royals won their fourth straight game on April 15th, but, unfortunately, Young’s third loss on April 16th ended this win streak.

It appears that the shade normally reserved for Brett Lawrie in a match-up against the A’s will now be in danger of being thrown directly at Young.

The Kansas City Royals will continue their series against the A’s at 3:05 PM CST when they face off in Oakland.

The game will be broadcast on local area Fox Sports and Comcast Sports networks.

Hopefully the Kansas City Royals leave Oakland with the series in order to build some momentum for their upcoming AL Central series.

The Kansas City Royals will begin their three game series against the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday, April 19th at 6:15 PM CST.
