KC Chiefs News: 2016 Schedule Includes Three Primetime Games
KC Chiefs news is about the NFL releasing the 2016 regular season schedule. The Kansas City Chiefs have a pretty reasonable schedule next season.
KC Chiefs fans haven’t had much to cheer about when it’s come to schedule making over the past few seasons.
Last year, a home game was taken away so that the Chiefs could play in London. The seasons before that had limited primetime action for the team and last year the team’s lone Sunday night game was stripped away from them due to the San Diego Chargers sucking.
In other words, this year’s schedule is delightful.
For one, the Chiefs have three primetime games, two of which are at Arrowhead. One of the Arrowhead primetime games is on Christmas Day on NBC, which is exciting since only one other game will be played that day. The Chiefs are finally getting a big game for the world to see, and it’s exciting! Maybe this is the team’s reward for giving up a home game to play in London last year.
Something else to note is that the KC Chiefs don’t play any back to back away games. They have an away game in Pittsburgh in week four (a Sunday night affair), then have a bye in week five, and play in Oakland in week six. That’s the only time they “technically” have back to back road games.
The early season schedule is favorable too. The Chiefs will open things up against the Chargers at Arrowhead, then head to Houston in week two, host the Jets in week three for a Sunday afternoon game, and then travel to Pittsburgh on Sunday night in week four. They should win three out of four of those if all goes to plan… Or how we want it to go anyway.

Chiefs’ 2016 schedule revealed, including Christmas game vs. Broncos
Terez A. Paylor | The Kansas City Star
Personally, I’m most excited for the Christmas game against the Broncos. It’s a Sunday night game, it’s on a Holiday, and it’s against one of the teams we hate the absolute most.

The Chiefs also host the Raiders on Thursday night football, and surprisingly, the Raiders will be hosting their own Sunday Night Football game, which hasn’t happened in awhile.
Kansas City has a favorable schedule early on as of now, but we just don’t know yet what teams are going to be good and what teams are going to be bad. That’s why they play the games.
