KC Chiefs: Five Trades for Top Prospects in 2016 NFL Draft
By Bobby Miller
Best Option: Trade for 13th Pick and Draft Reggie Ragland
This might be a case of ‘home cooking’ considering the University of Alabama is my alma mater, but, still, it’s tough to deny that this option makes the most sense.
The trades on this list, including this one, all featured acquisitions of the draft’s best prospect at each of the KC Chiefs five main areas of need.

Because of this, these trades require the KC Chiefs to make decent sacrifices to acquire these top level prospects.
Although Ragland is the lowest rated prospect of the players listed, he still remains the consensus’ best inside linebacker in the 2016 NFL Draft.
As I stated before, Ragland next to Johnson would make it nearly impossible to gain substantial rushing yards on the KC Chiefs.
The fact that the KC Chiefs have five areas of need gives initial indication that trading up may not be the most efficient.
Even so, Dorsey has made a large multitude of depth signings at these positions of weakness in the event that these spots fail to be addressed in the draft.
As a result, the KC Chiefs could decide to take the positional advantage over positional stopgaps.

If this is the case, then it would behoove the KC Chiefs to trade for one of the prospects listed above to ensure worthwhile talent return.
Given this scenario, Ragland presents the enough opportunity to justify his lower cost relative to the other prospects.
The KC Chiefs could also decide to include players in these trades, trade for second or third best prospects, or even trade down.
Despite the NFL stealing away the Chiefs third round pick, Kansas City still has options to work with.

Do you agree with my trade estimates? Do you agree that Ragland is the best choice on this list? Does including roster players in draft trades, trading up for very good prospects, or trading down make more sense for the KC Chiefs?
