It’s over! They’ve done it! The Kansas City Royals are World Champions! The off-season is finally over for the KC Royals.

It’s finally over KC Royals’ fans. The shortest, long off-season in maybe ever is finally coming to a close later tonight when the Royals take on the New York Mets.

Months of speculation and unanswered questions are finally going to come to an end as soon as Edinson Volquez toes the rubber and throws that first pitch.

The Royals have had so many questions arise as to how they’ll approach this season. Those questions only further intensified as they posted a losing record during the Spring Training tune-up.

The Royals have also dealt with questions as it relates to who is going to fill out the rotation and who will man second base and right field.

It now appears as if most of those questions have been answered and the Royals will finally get a chance to put all the questions aside. It all starts with a ceremony that is going to see the Royals hoist a championship flag before the start of game one.

If that’s not enough to get the blood pumping and the adrenaline flowing for Edinson Volquez, the fans at the stadium should help boost his velocity a little bit.

The KC Royals are going to get to give the fans a little flashback of the 2015 World Series. Facing off against the New York Mets on opening day is just one of those ironic little baseball quirks that always seem to happen.

While the Royals will be looking to dole out some more frustrating losses to the Mets, the Mets may be looking to start a Royals’ 2015-esque run. They’ll get a chance to take out their frustrations on the team that sent them packing back in 2015.
