The KC Royals made headlines as bad boys early this week and now multiple, very real and not fake, sources confirm it to be true.

Earlier this week, Marc Carig wrote an article indicating the Royals were out for blood in response to a high and tight Noah Syndergaard pitch during the 2015 World Series.

I initially dismissed these claims as baseless, given the lack of any real or credible sources, but now I’ve seen the error of my ways.

I have it on good authority from 100 percent real and credible sources, or voices in my head, that the Royals are in fact planning something special for the Mets and Noah Syndergaard.

The KC Royals would try and have you believe that they’re over the pitch that made Mike Moustakas scream obscenities at Noah Syndergaard, but it’s all just for show.

When asked about the reports of retaliation, the Royals coyly responded with things like “we already got our revenge…by winning the World Series”. They even have the audacity and nerve to use a Mets’ tribute video before the first game to lull the Mets into a false sense of security.

Don’t be fooled Royals’ fans. The Royals didn’t work all off-season on baseball or improving their roster. They labored and pondered all off-season on trying to come up with the perfect plan.

Countless meetings were held trying to find the perfect way to infiltrate the young hurler’s vicinity. They knew they’d have to find a way to get within 60’6″ of Noah Syndergaard.

Finally, they found his Achilles heel near the start of Spring Training. As Noah Syndergaard was reportedly showing up to camp on a horse. Smiles began to creep over the faces of the Royals as they started to construct a plan.

Mike Moustakas, being of Greek descent, called upon his team to use a trick that his ancestors had once used: The Trojan Horse.

Knowing that Noah Syndergaard has a soft spot for horses, the Royals have spent all of Spring Training constructing a giant wooden horse. They even got some help from Chiefs’ rival, the Denver Broncos, who are well versed in horsemanship.

Yes, this finally answers the question as to why the Royals’ Spring Training record is so poor now. They’ve been sore from carrying around lumber all Spring, and not the kind used to hit baseballs.

Yes, the plan is coming into place and the Royals seem to be ready to spring into action against the young pitcher with the long golden locks. They’ll attempt to have Salvador Perez hold him down while the rest of the team gives him a buzz-cut.

Salvador Perez exploding out of the giant wooden horse and capturing Syndergaard shouldn’t be too hard. He’s already an expert at holding people in situations they’re uncomfortable with.

The Royals are even going to get the fans in on the action. While he’s being held down and having his head shaved, the Royals are going to subject him to the dancing of super fan Jimmy Faseler.

Yes, the Royals are going to get their revenge and it’s going to be very sweet.

If you haven’t already figured out that this article is nothing more than an elaborate, and very poor, April Fool’s Day joke, then it’s time to let the proverbial cat out of the bag, or the Royals out of the horse.

Only two more days stand between the defending World Champions and the start of the regular season. Maybe, if something happens, then the sport’s world can start labeling the Royals as poor sports and ‘bad boys’.

Until the, it’s time to let the Royals and their fans have their fun in the sun. They’ve worked hard all off-season to put a quality product on the field. They’re going to need it to stand up against a tough division.
