Kansas City Chiefs: Good, Bad, Ugly In 2016 Free Agency
While the Kansas City Chiefs were not able to retain everyone, they did a pretty dang good job keeping this team as intact as possible.
The key losses for the Chiefs were the ones mentioned on the bad and ugly slides, but the team lost backup quarterback Chase Daniel as well. Daniel is on route to Philadelphia where he got a monster contract for only starting two games in seven years.
For the most part though, hard to be super upset with free agency this year. The Chiefs lost guys, but they brought key players back and were able to bring in a new guy in Mitch Schwartz.

Schwartz should be a huge addition to an offensive line that has struggled over the past few seasons. It’s time to get Alex Smith some protection!
As for the Sean Smith loss, it hurts, it really does. The final price looked like something the Chiefs could have swung, but hey… Smith is from California originally and his heart could have already been set on returning home. We’ll never know.
Overall though, this wasn’t as brutal of a free agency as fans had thought it might be. In fact, a lot of fans were pretty content after Wednesday’s chaos was all said and done.
