It’s going to be a rough day for Chiefs Kingdom, as we’ll likely watch some of our favorite players sign with other teams.

I’m really hoping that I’m wrong on all of these, but it’s almost certain that Smith and Howard are both goners. I could see Johnson and Abdullah returning, but the Chiefs don’t have a lot of money to play around with.

Something to keep in mind though is that the Chiefs can’t keep everyone. Some players will have to go and that’s the name of the game.

Fortunately, John Dorsey knows what he’s doing and has proven that he can sign under the radar free agents. Hell, three of these guys were under the radar signings by Dorsey in Abdullah, Howard, and Smith, and all went on to have great careers in Kansas City.

Johnson could return to Kansas City and fans really hope that he will. We have Tamba Hali back, and now we just need DJ back as well. Both are Chiefs legends, and both should stay in Kansas City for their entire career.
