Kansas City Chiefs: Five Underrated Free Agents to Target
The KC Chiefs need to sign some free agents, but have limited money to do so. This is why looking at some of the underrated players is the best option for the team.
No one should expect the Chiefs to sign the big names like Malik Jackson, Bruce Irvin, or Danny Trevathan. These guys will simply be too expensive and the Chiefs already need to get Eric Berry signed to his franchise tender (or sign him to a long-term deal), and attempt to re-sign guys like Derrick Johnson and even smaller names like Husain Abdullah.

That’s why these lower key free agents could be huge for the Kansas City Chiefs this offseason. Guys like Rueben Randle and James Laurinaitis won’t require huge salaries and have several years of starting experience under their belts.
Just look at some of the underrated moves the Chiefs have made in the past. Guys like Abdullah, DeVito, and even Sean Smith have done fantastic as low key signings for the Kansas City Chiefs. Hell, even a pickup like Frank Zombo has proved to be important the past few seasons.
I’m not saying these guys will make all of the difference, but they could be the difference in the 2016 season and maybe even beyond. You just never know.
