Kansas City Royals: Ten Best Seasons In Royals History
By Scott Dillon
While the Royals and their fans are currently celebrating their best team, it hasn’t always been so jolly.
The Royals have come a long way in the past ten years. 2005 saw the Royals at their absolute worst. They lost 106 games that year as the pitching staff absolutely failed the team.
Fans waited year after year for a winner and every season seemed to fall apart by early June. In 2010, the Royals finally had some hope as they were given the honor of having the best farm system in baseball.
Finally, there was real help on the horizon for the Royals as young players like Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas lurked in the Minor Leagues.

Slowly but surely, the young players started to piece things together for the Royals. Trades for Lorenzo Cain and Alicdes Escobar finally started to make sense. Dayton Moore turned the franchise around and became one of the best general managers in baseball.
The Royals of the late seventies and early eighties looked a lot like a dynasty. They just didn’t quite have the World Series appearances to really solidify themselves as such. Could the current Royals be in the middle of creating a dynasty for the Royals? All signs seem to point to ‘Yes’.
