All of these guys still have an opportunity to prove themselves in the NFL.

The NFL is a weird business. You can have the worst season of your career and then bounce back to have one of the best seasons. It’s entirely possible in this business.

Any of these guys can easily jump back in and pick it up in the 2016 season. While I don’t think Knile Davis will be back with the Chiefs, he can definitely make an impact with another NFL team. The kid is still plenty talented, but it seems obvious that his time in Kansas City has come to an end.

De’Anthony Thomas needs to recover from his concussion, and hopefully, he’s okay. If he decides to end his career early, Chiefs Kingdom needs to respect that decision.

Ben Grubbs, once he’s healthy, will help out an offensive line that struggled to stay healthy in 2015. Grubbs will fill in that spot at left guard and hopefully him, and Eric Fisher can work well together on the left side.

Chris Conley has the ability to be this team’s second wide receiver behind Jeremy Maclin in 2016. He showed flashes of potential at times, but he’s going to need to work on following through with a catch (he had several crucial drops earlier on in the season).

Phillip Gaines should be back in action in the secondary, and if Sean Smith does leave via free agency, his role for this team will increase immensely.

Just because these guys were busts in 2015 doesn’t mean they’re busts for life. The NFL can be a quick turnaround for players, and it would not surprise me one bit if any one of these guys appeared on the ‘Biggest Surprises’ list for next season.
