KC Chiefs Should Embrace Jilted St Louis Rams Fans
The KC Chiefs are officially the only NFL team in the state of Missouri, after it was decided by NFL owners on Tuesday to move the St. Louis Rams to Los Angeles, California.
The St. Louis Rams are heading to sunny California, as reported on Tuesday evening by Adam Schefter via Twitter (tweet listed below; here’s the ESPN article on the subject matter).
Look, we all knew this move was coming. It’s been rumored for years that Los Angeles would be getting a team or two, and it was between the Rams, the Oakland Raiders, and the San Diego Chargers for the potential two spots in Los Angeles. It seemed like a given that the Rams would be one of the two teams moving there due to the lack of support in the city for the team.
St. Louis has proven to be a city known for its passionate baseball fans and even passionate hockey fans. The problem was that same support wasn’t there for their football team. There were several games the past few seasons where the opposing team had more fans in Edward Jones Dome than the Rams did, and it showed.
Most notably – Any time the San Francisco 49ers played in St. Louis, it was mostly all red in that dome.

Even with all of the smack talk between Kansas City and St. Louis, I can’t imagine how Rams fans are feeling after hearing this news. Imagine if your hometown team suddenly was relocating. What emotions would be going through your head? I know personally, I’d be pretty pissed off if the Chiefs relocated to Los Angeles or some other random place.
The good news for Rams fans is that there’s another NFL team on the other side of the state for them to root for – and that team happens to be the Kansas City Chiefs. This is as good a time as any to hop on the Chiefs bandwagon, as the team just won their first playoff game in 22 years and are jumping for joy!
Sure, the Chiefs haven’t won a Super Bowl since 1970, but hey! We have fun at our home games! We fill the stands and we yell as loud as possible! If Rams fans decide to jump on the Kansas City bandwagon, here are some fun things you can do:

All jokes aside, I do feel bad for Rams fans. It must suck to have a team you root for in your own backyard, only to lose them to the big, bad city of Los Angeles. I can assure all St. Louis Rams fans, however, that we Kansas City Chiefs fans are more than willing to welcome you to Chiefs Kingdom if you so happen to choose that route.
So, Rams fans – We’ve got your back. Join us.
Chiefs fans – Be nice. If a Rams fan comes to you for your support, offer them a hug, handshake, or high five… then give them a Chiefs jersey.
