KC Chiefs News: Justin Houston And Playoffs
KC Chiefs news this morning center around the team likely getting Justin Houston back, and about what else, but the playoffs?
It’s only been two years since the Kansas City Chiefs last made the playoffs, but it feels a lot longer honestly. Maybe that’s HOW the team went out last time or maybe it’s the fact that this team has zero postseason success since 1994.
Regardless of what the problem for this team is in the playoffs, they have a chance to fix it on Saturday when they square off against the Houston Texans in the AFC Wildcard. The Chiefs will welcome back their best defensive player in Justin Houston, who will only help this Chiefs D in the biggest game they’ve had in years.
Sure, it’s not fair to place the blame of past failures on this year’s team, but is a playoff win too much to ask for? KC Chiefs fans have waited long enough, and why not start 2016 off with a bang? Let’s win this playoff game, and get that monkey off our back.

It’ll be great having Justin Houston back for this one, as the former third rounder has been inactive since the Chiefs’ week 12 victory against the Buffalo Bills. His presence hasn’t gone completely unnoticed, as the pass rush hasn’t been nearly as dominant without him, but still… It could have been similar to the defensive meltdown Chiefs fans experienced in the 2013 Wildcard match-up in Indianapolis.
Let’s just hope that Justin Houston can wreck havoc on the Texans’ offense all day long. The Chiefs will need all the big plays they can get, whether it be from their offense or from their defense.

This game is going to have every Chiefs fan nervous as hell. Even though the Kansas City Royals won a championship this year, it would still suck tremendously if the Chiefs fell short once again.
