KC Chiefs News: Chiefs Will Face Texans In Playoffs

KC Chiefs news consists of the Kansas City Chiefs heading to Houston for the Wildcard round of the playoffs.

Well, Chiefs fans, our boys did it.

After starting the season off with a 1-5 record and looking like they were going NOWHERE, the KC Chiefs reeled off ten straight wins to make it into the postseason. It was an impressive showing since the end of October, and it’s been a fun ride to say the least.

The Chiefs defeated the Oakland Raiders on Sunday and finished 11-5 for the second time under head coach Andy Reid. It was an interesting game and got a little nerve-wracking near the end, but Kansas City pulled out yet another victory.

Had the Denver Broncos lost to the San Diego Chargers, Kansas City would have won the AFC West, something that seemed unthinkable back in mid October. Denver won though, and now own the top seed in the AFC, much to the dismay of Chiefs fans.

Still though. Fans should be proud of this team for getting to where they are. They’re playoff bound, and have a big chance to “reverse the curse”, so to speak.

Now, the Kansas City Chiefs will try to get the monkey off their back when they travel to Houston to face the Texans. Can the Chiefs win their first playoff game since the 1993 season? Can they do it against the same city they LAST beat in the postseason?

    • It’s going to be a very anxiety filled week for all Chiefs fans as we head into the first week of the playoffs. The Chiefs have looked like a team very much on the rise these past few months, but there are some areas to be concerned about (the field goal unit and the late game panicking to name a few).

    Hopefully, the KC Chiefs can finally bring home a playoff win. I think the fans have waited long enough.

    I don’t know about you guys, but I’ll be a nervous wreck for this entire week leading up to the Wildcard playoff game. I was three years old the last time the Chiefs won a playoff game, and I can’t imagine how crazy the scene will be in Kansas City if they win next weekend.
