Kansas State football finished their 2015 campaign with a 6-7 record. It’s the first losing season the team has had since Bill Snyder returned to coach the program in 2009. They’ve also lost five of their last six bowl games.

It wasn’t the season Wildcat fans had hoped for, but there are some things to consider regarding this season.

More from KC Kingdom

First, Bill Snyder is still one of the all time greatest coaches in all of college football. He’s been the proven leader of this football team, and as long as he’s still on the sidelines, this team will always have a chance to be great.

Second, one big thing to keep in mind is that the original starting quarterback, Jesse Ertz, was injured one of the first plays of the season. That put a lot of pressure on Joe Hubener to lead the charge, and he simply wasn’t ready for the task. If Ertz is good to go for next season, this offense will look much improved.

Lastly, KSU finished the regular season with three straight wins. They looked good in the final stretch of the season, and even upset the West Virginia Mountaineers in their final game of 2015. Not many people expected that to happen, so that’s definitely something positive to keep in mind.
