KC Chiefs News: Playoff Talk Is All The Rage

facebooktwitterreddit

KC Chiefs news is all about the Kansas City Chiefs actively pursuing a playoff spot. They currently own the first Wildcard spot as of now.

It’s been a weird season for the Kansas City Chiefs. This team had a lot of potential heading into the 2015 season, but somehow were sitting at 1-5 after six weeks. It was devastating.

Then the real KC Chiefs showed up, and have gone on to win six straight games and would currently hold the fifth spot in the playoffs if the season ended today. While it’s not all said and done quite yet, the Chiefs have a favorable schedule down the stretch and certainly could win out. That’d put them at 11-5 and winners of ten straight to close out the regular season.

Will the Chiefs win out? Who knows? They just need to keep grinding, keep fighting, and keep winning. That playoff win could happen this year… We’re all hoping so anyway.

"After losing five consecutive games form Week 2-6, the Chiefs have now won six consecutive games and are playing like the team we all believed we had back in the summer. Meanwhile, there is a three-way tie for first in the AFC, with the team that won its first 10 games sitting in the third seed."

KC Chiefs: Week 13 Report Card VS Oakland Raiders [KC Kingdom]

"This was a great game for Kansas City. It wasn’t pretty, but it was still a great game, as in it showed the Chiefs have a lot of fight in them. It truly was a TEAM win, which is huge in this league, as it seems these days a lot of teams scrap out wins due to their quarterback."

Chiefs beat Raiders 34-20, win sixth straight [Arrowhead Addict]

"At this point, Kansas City is 7-5 and didn’t appear to have any new or major injuries. Defensive end Mike DeVito left with a possible concussion, and Peters had a cramp in his hamstring. Jeff Allen also left in the first quarter with an aggravation of his ankle."

NFL playoff picture update: AFC Wild Card belongs to Chiefs and the Patriots tumble [Arrowhead Pride]

"The Chiefs have four more remaining games against the Chargers, Ravens, Browns and Raiders. They very well could be favored in each of those games so the odds would be on the Chiefs running the table. After they started 1-5, that’s simply incredible to think about."

Chiefs wax Raiders, continue surge to playoffs [NFL.com]

"The Chiefs are racing toward January, while the Raiders can’t afford another loss. It wasn’t pretty, but Alex Smith did enough to keep Kansas City in playoff contention with a clean 16-0f-22 performance."

The KC Chiefs did themselves a huge favor by defeating AFC West rival Oakland, and now they face the San Diego Chargers, Baltimore Ravens, Cleveland Browns, and Oakland again to close out their 2015 regular season.
