1) Your Kansas City Royals are World Series champions!
For the first time in 30 years, the Kansas City Royals are World Series champions. That’s something people my age never thought would happen in our life times. The Royals were a joke for such a long time, and it’s so cool to see the people of Kansas City rally around this team and around the town.
I can’t even begin to explain how thankful I am for the Kansas City Royals team in both 2014 and 2015. 2014 started the run. It gave fans hope that our team could be destined for greatness. 2015 was the continuation of that, and showed us that we can be winners and be the champions of the world.

Finally, the Royals won the whole damn thing and it was magical. Every Royals fan in the world is thankful for this team and for the joy they brought into our lives the past two years (even three if you count the fun 2013 season).
As difficult as it is to make it to the World Series three years in a row, fans in this city believe it will happen and it’s because this team gave us hope. They gave us something to root for and put our city on the map, and we won’t forget that.
