KC Royals: Five Reasons They Won’t Return To World Series

Call me Negative Nancy, but I just don’t have a good feeling about the Royals in the postseason this year. This time last year I had this gut feeling that if the Kansas City Royals could win the Wildcard game, then they’d have the ability to make it to the World Series.
This season, however, I’m not feeling so confident. No, the Royals don’t have to go through a one-game Wildcard like they did last year, but this team seems to have lost a lot of its juice that it had throughout the season.
Obviously I hope that I’m wrong. I hope that the Royals sweep their way to the World Series like they did last season and win the whole thing this time around, but I’m just not feeling that exuding confidence I felt this time last year.
I’m extremely worried about the Royals’ rotation and don’t think they have what it takes to get this team all the way to the World Series. When the Royals acquired Cueto from the Reds, I thought what everybody else probably thought in that the Royals were nearly guaranteed to go to the World Series.
Fast forward to two months later and now I just have this feeling that the Royals are going to fall in the ALDS to whoever they face and be in the opposite role they were in last year.
Again… Hopefully, I’m wrong.
