Whew! That was A LOT of things to improve on, guys. I feel like I literally listed everything.

There wasn’t a ton of good that came from this game on Thursday night, BUT a positive way of looking at this loss is that the Chiefs didn’t trail until the final thirty seconds and played like complete and total crap. Seriously. The Broncos didn’t look good either guys.

The fact that Kansas City turned the ball over five times and the Broncos were only able to barely squeak out a win says a lot about this Chiefs defense. The defense stepped up and showed how good they can be this season. The offense and special teams did not (except for Dustin Colquitt and Cairo Santos).

I think the most impressive part of the game to me was Marcus Peters. The kid has looked phenomenal in his two NFL games so far. He’s had an interception in both, and his one on Thursday was a pick six of 55 yards. Peters has been a star, and I can’t wait to see what else he’s capable of this season.

Also, how about Justin Houston? He sacked Manning twice, and that was just really, really great to watch.

Oh and one more thing, backup tight end James O’Shaughnessy had two big catch and runs. Maybe we have a mini Travis Kelce in the making? That’d be great!

Seeing Eric Berry get welcomed back to Arrowhead was pretty special too. I actually cried when that happened. Good tears for sure. The guy’s an inspiration.

I attended this game and despite the result, I had a lot of fun at Arrowhead. My dad and brother hadn’t been to a primetime game in years and I kept raving about last year’s Monday Night Football game to them, and they agreed it was electric in Arrowhead Stadium on Thursday night. The crowd noise clearly got to Manning and was rattling him at times, and that was fun to watch.

Too bad the Chiefs lost. The fans deserved better than that. Hey though, we’re Kansas City fans. We know what we’re in for when it comes to sports.
