On to the next one.
It’s a quick turnaround for the Chiefs. They’ll host division rival the Denver Broncos Thursday night at Arrowhead Stadium.
Alex Smith, Andy Reid and general manager John Dorsey have not defeated the Broncos since taking over the ship in Kansas City, so it’s about time the Chiefs took one from them at home.
The Broncos already played in the late-afternoon game Sunday and will lose a few additional hours traveling to Kansas City. Advantage: Chiefs.
Still, Denver beat a good Baltimore Ravens team at home and have a quarterback who can get an offense prepared in a hurry.
The atmosphere will be electric at Arrowhead, and the crowd should be raucous, so it looks like a good opportunity for the Chiefs to jump out to a 2-0 start.
