If you want to search for something the Chiefs will certainly need to improve, it is running the ball. They accumulated 97 yards but seemingly had a lot of carries that didn’t net much yardage.
Derrick Johnson, who got hurt in the first half of the first game of last season, and missed the rest of the year, is zeroing in on the KC Chiefs’ record for career tackles.
Alex Smith looked to be in fine form, completing 22 of 33 passes for 243 yards and three touchdowns. Travis Kelce snagged six catches for 106 yards and two scores to help secure the week one win.
