Fantasy football deep sleepers can go either way for your team. They’re typically boom or bust guys, who have potential to do well, but don’t always pan out.

Some of these guys on here are backups or third strings for their respective teams, but others like Albert Wilson and Harry Douglas are currently slated to be starters. The starters are considered deep sleepers due to the fact that not many people have heard of them or maybe because we haven’t seen them in action much before, and are skeptical of what they can provide our team with.

These guys usually serve as bench players and are good fill in players should you have a starter get injured or have several players on bye weeks. I actually drafted Jordan Cameron as a “deep sleeper” a few years ago and he ended up being one of my star players that season.

On the flip side though, I’ve drafted many “deep sleepers” who I thought could be the difference maker on my team, and then they’re flat out busts. That’s the risk you take so late in the draft.

Sometimes deep sleepers’ value can be affected by who their quarterback is. A few Titans players are listed on here as deep sleepers because they have a rookie quarterback throwing to them. If Mariota ends up having a decent year, then those particular players could end up being worth your while.

It’s tough to decide which deep sleepers can pan out, that’s why they’re late draft picks and have the title of deep sleepers. Should you find your diamond in the rough though, it can pay off in a big way.

Good luck with your drafts and choose wisely my friends.
