KC Chiefs Writers Welcome on KC Kingdom

KC Kingdom is looking for KC Chiefs writers, as well as passionate fans to write about all our schools and teams.

KC Kingdom has steadily grown as FanSided’s home for Kansas City area sports coverage, including the KC Chiefs, dating back to when the site was first launched in late 2012.  We want to continue that growth.

This site covers the KC Chiefs, KC Royals, Sporting KC, Kansas Jayhawks, Missouri Tigers, and Kansas State Wildcats. We need writers for every one of our teams.

Consider yourself a passionate fan? Read us or other sports sites with regularity and ever wonder if you should write your favorite teams and schools?

Maybe you’re just stumbling across us for the first time, and you like what you see. We are looking to add to our staff here on the site, and this could be your chance to grab a stick and join the team.

It is football season, and we are looking for writers to cover all of the teams and schools in the area. We really want to add passionate people to write about the Chiefs, as well as football fans of the three schools we cover.

Expectations

We like to let our staff write about the aspects of the team they are most passionate about. There’s room for those interested in covering the football team, baseball, basketball, or any other sport under the KC Kingdom umbrella.

Maybe you’re more of a recruiting junkie, and you want to talk about the impact a new signing could have.

Or about how each team should approach the upcoming season or what big moves are needed to get the team back on top, or helping with the never ending potential story ideas surrounding our schools and teams.

Writers are asked to contribute at least 1-2 posts per week. We’ll always welcome more frequent contributions than that, but we won’t require it.

We know that for most this is mostly a hobby and something you do for the love of it. That’s why we do it too, as most of us have families, full-time careers, and/or school to balance into our lives as well (there’s room for things besides sports, right?).

This is an opportunity to join a staff of writers here who are just simply passionate about Chiefs, Royals, SKC, Jayhawks, Mizzou, and KSU and want to continue to reach the rest of this great fan base.

KC Kingdom has a fine editorial staff eager to help you become the best writer you can be.
