The biggest KC Royals news this morning focuses on Yordano Ventura being sent down to the minors, and about the Royals’ starting pitching situation in general.

It’s no secret that the KC Royals have had an interesting pitching situation in 2015. From Yordano Ventura not living up to his expectations to Danny Duffy‘s and Jason Vargas‘ injuries to Jeremy Guthrie‘s historically bad start to Chris Young pitching well in the rotation to… Well, you get the idea. It’s been a whirlwind of stories regarding the starting rotation in Kansas City.

On Tuesday afternoon, it was announced that Ventura, who was the starter on Opening Day, would be joining the Storm Chasers in good ol’ Omaha, Nebraska. Ventura was thought to be the ace of the Kansas City Royals coming into this year, especially after his absolutely dominating performance in Game 6 of the World Series, which was a must-win game for the Royals.
