KC Chiefs: Expectations For Second Year Players

I’m excited to see what these second year players are capable of, as year two is a big year for NFL players. The rookie year, it’s expected for players to make mistakes frequently and you just have to hope they learn from it moving forward.
A lot can be learned from the first year, but overall I think the Kansas City Chiefs have a good group of guys who are headed into year two of their NFL careers.
For instance, Dee Ford needs to work on not running away from running backs, De’Anthony Thomas needs to let the ball bounce into the end zone for a touchback rather than run it from the two yard line, and Cairo Santos needs to make the easy chip shots.
A lot can be learned from the first year, but overall I think the Kansas City Chiefs have a good group of guys who are headed into year two of their NFL careers.
The picks might not have made sense at the time (Dee Ford for instance), but I trust that John Dorsey and Andy Reid know what they’re doing and how they’re going to utilize their players.
I didn’t even mention Daniel Sorensen, who had a nice first year with the Chiefs after going undrafted last year. He played in nine games and recorded six tackles. Expect Sorensen to see more playing time in 2015.
Overall, 2015 should be a good season for these guys mentioned, and I hope their sophomore seasons in the NFL prove to be even better than their rookie seasons.
